Photograph of the Quilt taken on the West end of the COillery that is now a nature reserve

Photograph of the quilt proudly displayed at Frickley Country Park, a cherished reminder of our town's rich history.
Frickley Colliery and South Kirkby Colliery were the lifeblood of o my towns community, their closure in 1993 marking the end of an era.
Standing atop what was once a bustling mining shaft, now preserved within the serene surroundings of the country park turned nature reserve, fills me with a mix of nostalgia and pride.
This quilt serves as a tribute to the transition from the days of mining to the beginning of women's activism, intricately woven into the fabric of our town's story
